How do we start the connection?

The connection process between UC and Siteminder varies depending on whether the property previously used Siteminder as a Channel Manager or not.

In both cases, it is necessary to notify Siteminder of the connectivity between Ulyses Suite and Siteminder 10 days in advance .

Case 1: We are already Siteminder clients

The process we will follow is as follows:

1. Request S1 training script and respond to self-questionnaire to the sales team at the property
2. Make sure to watch the training video "Connect UC and Siteminder in 5min"
3. Receive training from the S1 session
4. HOTEL will contact Siteminder and notify about activation
5. Siteminder will send an Excel sheet corresponding to the current structure in the Channel. Decide whether you want to keep the same sales structure or not
   - Important before returning this Excel, you must have created the sales plan in UC (prices, packages, offers, restrictions)
   1. If you want to keep the same structure, resend the filled Excel with the following values in the columns
      1. Create rates, offers, and promotions in UC 
      2. Fill in the Excel with the following values in the columns:
         • Room code = product code (Accommodation) in UC
         • Rate code = board_code|occupancy|rate_code|offer_code|promotion_code (e.g. BB|2000|BAR|WEB)
         • Inventory code = typology code
   2. If you do not want to keep the same structure, then:
      1. Add or delete rows in the Excel
      2. Create 
      3. Fill in the Excel with the following values in the columns
         • Room code = product code (Accommodation) in UC
         • Rate code = board_code|occupancy|rate_code|offer_code|promotion_code (e.g. BB|2000|BAR|WEB)
         • Inventory code = typology code in UC

Case 2: I am a new Siteminder client

The process we will follow is similar to those who are already Siteminder clients.

1.  Hotel contacts and contracts Siteminder services
2. Will notify about the start with UC 
3. Siteminder will send an email with an Excel for mapping
- Important before returning this Excel, you must have created the sales plan in UC (prices, packages, offers, restrictions)
