Although we have previously explained how to map rooms and rates between Siteminder and Ulyses Suite automatically, these can also be created manually. New mappings are created whenever new rooms and/or rates are created in the Channel Manager and we want to link them to those created in Ulyses Suite.
Create or edit room mappings manually
We can create new room mappings through
- Siteminder Integration > Mappings tab > New room mapping
- Fill in the following form
Then we will link it with the following information from Ulyses Suite
- Accommodation: Indicates the type of accommodation in Ulyses Suite
- Allotment: Indicates the maximum number of units that have been configured in the corresponding allotment
- Limit quantity: Indicates the maximum number of units that can be sold through the Channel Manager for security. For example, if we limit to 3 units, bookings of more than 3 units cannot be made in UC. This is a very useful feature in case you have very low inventory of a specific type.
- Add inventory: We will use this option if we want to send a higher inventory than currently exists. From this section, what we do is add other types so that they are added to the inventory of this mapping. For example, if we have 10 Standard rooms and 15 Double rooms, and we add the Standard ones to the mapping of the latter, we will send 25 Double rooms to the Channel Manager. You only need to add the inventory of the types you want to add additionally.
- Subtract inventory: We will use this option if we want to send a lower inventory than currently exists. From this section, what we do is add other types so that they are subtracted from the inventory of this mapping.
- Send property inventory: Indicates that we will limit the sending of the number of rooms (inventory) to the total property inventory.
- Upload inventory: Additionally, we can indicate if for this specific room we want to synchronize the inventory. Even if we have selected the synchronization mode to upload inventory, it is possible that for a specific room type we prefer not to do so.
Finally, we will confirm to create the mapping.
To modify the configuration of an existing room mapping, click on
Create or edit rate mappings manually
We can create new rate mappings through
- Siteminder Integration > Mappings tab > New rate mapping
- Fill in the following form:
First, we will select the code and name of the rate in the Channel Manager.
Then we will select the following rate parameters in Ulyses Suite, specifically
- Occupancy
- Board
- Rate
- Offer: Indicates the offer you want to map as well as whether you want to send the discounted value
- Promotion: Indicates the promotion you want to map as well as whether you want to send the discounted value
- Upload price: Indicates if you want to synchronize the prices of this specific rate
- Availability upload: Indicates if you want to synchronize the availability of this rate
Finally, you can review the mapping configuration and confirm its creation.
Each mapping can be easily modified or deleted through the and
icons, respectively.
Additionally, the
icon allows you to open a window where all changes related to this room/rate and the combinations being processed at that moment will be listed.
