In daily management, situations may arise that require the locking of rooms. This is usually due to technical issues or renovations, but other situations may occur, such as when a complimentary stay is granted.
To successfully manage room locks in Ulyses Suite, it is necessary to know the following:
- Lock Type Management
- Room Locking
- Viewing Existing and Future Locks
- Remove Room Locks
- Bulk Room Unlocking
Lock Type Management
The difference between the different types of locks lies in their logic. In other words, while one type of lock may affect occupancy, another may not.
To manage the different types of locks, go to the general or chain configuration, where you can add as many new lock types as you want, which will then be available for all properties when creating a new lock.
Creating New Locks
From Module Rack
If you want to lock from the Rack, you just need to click on the corresponding module and click on Block, which will bring up a window asking you which type of lock you want to apply and for which dates.
From Reservation Planning
If you select a blank cell in the reservation planning, the following dialog will appear, asking if you want to add a new reservation or a new lock. If you select a new lock, the same dialog will appear.
From Module Lock
If you go to Module Lock in the Frontdesk menu, you can view and create new locks.
NOTE
Keep in mind that modules are locked. Therefore, rooms that have a module assigned will have the room locked. If that module is sold as both an individual and a family room, both will be locked.
Viewing Locks
Locks are displayed on various screens in Ulyses Suite. While in the module rack and in reservation planning, they can be easily identified.
In module lock, you will have a view of which locks exist in the future
Removing Locks
To remove locks, you can do so through the Unblock operation in the side detail both in planning and in the module rack.
Alternatively, you can easily remove the lock by accessing the lock detail in module lock and clicking "Delete"
Bulk Room Unlocking
To unlock rooms in bulk, go to
- Space Rack > click on Bulk Update > Unlock
- Then select the rooms (spaces) you want to unlock and Confirm
