Ulyses Cloud offers several actions to manage your products:
- Show action history
- Clone products.
- Copy to property / chain
- Deactivate products.
- Replace products.
- Delete products.
Show action history
In Ulyses Cloud, it is possible to display the history of actions performed on the platform for a particular product. This means you can access a list of all actions that have been performed on that product, such as its creation, modifications, deactivations, replacements, etc.
Showing the action history can be useful to keep a detailed record of the operations carried out on a product and to have better control over its management.
For example, if a product has been recently modified and you are experiencing a problem, you can consult its action history to identify when and who made the modification and thus have a better understanding of what is happening.
Clone products
Copy to property / chain
The "Copy to property/chain" option in Ulyses Cloud allows you to duplicate a product and assign it to another property or chain of establishments.
When copying a product to another property or chain, a new copy of the same product is created with a new code and name. separate management of products in each property or chain, but with the possibility of sharing information between them.
In general, the "Copy to property/chain" option can be useful to simplify the management of products in different locations and maintain consistency in product information throughout the organization.
To do this:
Ulyses PMS > Configuration (chain or property) > Product > Products > Select the product you want to copy > Options > Copy to property / chain
*If you perform this action from the chain configuration, you will only have the option to copy the product to a property, whereas if you do it at the property configuration level, you can copy the product to the chain or another property.
Deactivate products
To do this:
Ulyses PMS > Property configuration > Product > Products > Select the product you want to deactivate > Options > Inactive
When you use the option to deactivate a product in Ulyses Cloud, the platform displays a notice indicating the places or elements where that product is being used. For example, if the product appears in invoices or folios, you will be informed. This way, you can take into account all the implications that deactivating the product may have on your daily operations.
If you confirm that you want to replace the product, Ulyses Cloud will give you the option to add a reason for deactivating the product. This is useful to keep a record of the actions performed on the platform and to have better control over the products you are managing.
Replace products
Ulyses PMS > Property configuration > Product > Products > Select the product you want to replace > Options > Replace
When you use the option to replace a product in Ulyses Cloud, the platform displays a notice indicating the places or elements where that product is being used. For example, if the product appears in invoices or folios, you will be informed.
This way, you can take into account all the implications that replacing the product may have on your daily operations.
Here you will also choose the product with which you want to replace the current one.
Delete products
This action allows us to completely delete a product from Ulyses Cloud.
Keep in mind that this action is only possible if certain conditions are met, and that deleting the product will affect all properties (or only the property you are in, depending on what you choose) where the product is found.
To do this:
Ulyses PMS > Configuration (chain or property) > Product > Products > Select the product you want to clone > Options > Delete
Eliminar productos a nivel cadenaWhen you try to delete a product at the chain level in Ulyses Cloud, a notice may appear if the product is active in several elements of the platform, such as products, folios, or invoices.
This means that the product is being used in different places and, therefore, its deletion could have implications for your daily operations.
This notice allows you to consider all the implications that deleting the product may have before confirming the action. In these cases, it may be necessary to replace the product or deactivate it instead of deleting it completely to avoid interruptions in your operations.
Eliminar productos a nivel propiedadIn most cases, when you try to delete a product in Ulyses Cloud at the property level, the system will inform you that the product is in use and it will not be possible to delete it.
In this case, a notice will appear indicating why the product cannot be deleted and you will be offered two alternatives: replace or deactivate.
