Why edit prices?
Depending on the marketing model or strategy chosen, we can work with our rates based on two models:
- Standard prices, not necessarily based on occupancy.
- Prices based on occupancy (OBP).
However, sometimes it is necessary to adjust these prices according to the specific needs of the business.
That is why, in Ulyses Cloud, it is possible to edit the prices of a rate by acting directly on the Base price.
This means that if you want to modify the values of a rate, you can do so by acting on the Base price. Thus, you could easily and simply replace the conditions previously set in the rate configuration.
In this way, it allows adjusting the rate values as needed to meet the specific needs of the business, providing greater flexibility in price management.
How to edit the parameters of a rate?
In Ulyses Cloud, it is possible to edit a price or a feature of a base rate on one or more specific days.
To do this, you must access the rate you want to modify and select the availability tab. There, you will find a dropdown menu of options located on the right side of the screen.
Within this dropdown menu, you will find different options depending on the rate you are modifying.
These options include:
- Daily rate.
- Closed: sales closure.
- Minimum/maximum stay.
- Close to arrival (CTA) and close to departure (CTD).
- % discount and fixed % discount.
To edit an option, select the one you want to change from the dropdown menu and replace the value in the room, occupancy, and chosen date.
After making the changes, save and the new value will replace the base rate only for the parameters you have selected. Everything else in the rate will remain the same.
If you want to close sales on one or more specific days, you can select the "closed" option in the dropdown menu. Then, click on the box for the room, occupancy, and dates you want to close. When clicking, the chosen option will be marked as closed.
The boxes marked in red symbolize closures:
In this way, Ulyses Cloud allows us to make precise and specific changes to our rates, giving us greater flexibility in price and availability management.
