In UC it is possible to link companies to each other in multiple ways. Not only are there parent-subsidiary relationships, but it is also possible to create different types of relationships that will trigger different changes in reservations and availability queries.
Create types of relationships between companies
To create or modify relationships between companies, go to
- Chain Configuration>Types of company relationships>Create new relationship
When accessing the details of a relationship, you will be able to modify the following parameters
- Code
- Name:
- Share availability: Indicates that availability will be shared with the company with which we are creating the relationship. So, if from company A we add a relationship with B whose type of relationship indicates that availability can be shared, we are indicating that company B shares its availability with A.
- Update Bill to / Central or Company: indicates that after selecting a company as Booker, UC will look for the company that should be marked in the Bill to, Central, or Company fields automatically. For example, if from the details of company A we add company B through a relationship whose details have "Bill to" activated, when marking company B as Booker in the reservation, company A will be loaded in the "Bill to" field automatically.
Advantages of linking companies
The main advantage of linking companies is the automation of processes in reservation management, among which we can find:
- Automatically loading fields such as bill to/central/company in the reservation once a specific Booker is set
- Automatically loading a negotiated rate after marking a Booker in the reservation
For example, if we have created a contract (rate, offer, or promotion) and it has been marked as negotiated for company A. If we select company A as the Booker in the reservation, the Rate (or Offer or Promotion) field will allow the selection of this contract. Otherwise, UC will not allow it to be selected.
