Folios in Ulyses Cloud are the place where the charges of a reservation are accumulated. Each night, after the night audit is performed, all the charges that have been consumed in each of the rooms are allocated to their corresponding folio.
There are two types of folios
- Main folio: The main folio is determined based on the payment method selected in the reservation and the Bill to field.
- Extra folio: There may be one or more extra folios, and they are determined based on the payment method selected in the reservation.
Additionally, Ulyses Cloud categorizes folios as follows
- Stay folios: Stay folios are those where the charges for a specific room are accumulated.
- Reservation folios: Reservation folios are those where charges from multiple rooms (or multiple stays) are accumulated.
- Master or group folios: These are folios where charges from group reservations are accumulated. As a general rule, this is a folio where all the accommodation charges for the group are accumulated.
- Other types: These are folios that are not linked to reservations.
We can create a folio from
- From the Billing tab in an individual, family, or group reservation
- From Billing>Folios>New folio. This will generate a folio for a walk-in guest.
