The purpose of this article is to understand the process of creating and modifying users in Ulyses Cloud, specifically:
- Registering new users
- Cloning users
- Deactivating users
- Resetting user password
- User role management
- Property management
Registering New Users
To create new users, go to the Users option in Chain Settings. In the modal, indicate the following:
- Username
- Role or roles assigned to the user
- Properties the user will have access to
Once created, the user will receive a welcome email inviting them to access Ulyses Cloud. However, the first time they log in, the user must set their password in a format that meets the necessary requirements (minimum 8 characters in length, 1 special character, 1 numeric character)
Cloning Users
We can create a clone of a user from
- User detail>Options>Clone
When cloning a user, Ulyses Cloud will ask you to specify the username and email of the new user. From that point, the process will follow the same steps as creating a new user.
Deactivating Users
To deactivate users in Ulyses Cloud, simply access the profile of the user you want to deactivate and select the Delete option under the Options menu.
If the user has activity, we will not be able to delete them but we can replace them with another user or set them as inactive.
Resetting User Password
The easiest way to reset a password is:
- Property settings > Property > Users tab
- Click on the Action button > Reset password
- Alternatively, perform the same action from Chain Settings > Users > Reset password
From there, the user will receive an email from which they can access the page to reset their password.
User Role Management
A user in Ulyses Cloud can have one or more roles. Each role has its own permission management. To add or remove roles for a user, do so from the Roles tab in the user's profile-id="57"
Property Management
A user in Ulyses Cloud can access one or more hotels from the top menu. To add or remove properties for a user, do so from the Properties tab in the user's profile.
