In this article, we will learn how to manage the permissions granted to users who use Ulyses Cloud. The process is reduced to assigning one or more roles to a user. In turn, each role can have a series of permissions assigned. The sum of the permissions assigned to each role will result in the user's permissions.
To access role management, we will do so through Roles in the Chain Configuration
Role Management
Role management in Ulyses Cloud allows us to perform the following operations
Configure user permissions
Permission management allows the user to access certain pages and operations in Ulyses Cloud. To access permission management, go to Roles>Permissions
Once accessed, we can grant access to Ulyses PMS, HSK, CRS, GSP, KIOSK, BE, and System accordingly. If we expand the first one, we will find the drop-downs Chain settings, Property settings, and Operations.
Functionality
- Chain settings gives access precisely to the management of elements in the chain. If we select all the children, the overall result of Chain Settings (the parent) will mean that this role will have access to all chain options and will be symbolized as "Check". If we do not select any, we will not have access to any of the options. If, on the other hand, there are selected and unselected options, the "-" symbol will be shown as status.
- Property settings allows access to the configuration menu of each hotel in our chain. The functionality is identical to the previous one.
When a user has a role with access to a configuration menu but some of the options are unchecked, they will find a locker in the corresponding operation.
- Operations shows/hides the different options of the navigation bar in Ulyses PMS
For example, access to (see below) can be limited according to the user's role. This function helps better control who can generate manual reservations within the system.
- Report grants access to both the corresponding menu item and the different report sections
Configure user notifications
Users in Ulyses Cloud can receive different types of notifications if they are subscribed to the corresponding notification service. Notifications are visible from the top navigation bar.
To do this, go to the Notifications tab in the role profile and enable/disable the following types of notifications
- Reservation notifications
- Availability notifications
- Integration notifications
- Expired deposit notifications
- Expired reservation notifications
- Expired task notifications
- Expired activity notifications
