Ulyses Suite allows you to create a deposit (or advance payment) through the following wizard if you have an integrated payment gateway. The wizard consists of 6 steps:
- Step 1: Deposit Target
- Step 2: Basic and Billing Information for the Deposit
- Step 3: Confirmation of Billing Information
- Step 4: Pay Now or Request Payment
Step 1: Deposit Target
The deposit target simply indicates the final recipient of the payment. A deposit can be made on a reservation, a group, an individual customer, or a company. To do this, go to
- Top menu Billing > Deposits > New deposit
- Or, directly from the Deposit tab in a reservation, group, customer, or company
Step 2: Basic and Billing Information
In this step you will indicate:
- Consumption date: Indicates the date on which the deposit is expected to be inserted into the folio.
- If it is a reservation, it will be the check-in date
- If it is an event, it will be the date of the event
- Deposit type: Indicates whether the deposit needs to be invoiced and how
- Amount: Indicates the deposit amount
- Billing information: Select the billing details for the deposit
Step 3: Confirmation of Billing Information
In this step, you will indicate the information that will appear on the invoice, including both billing data and information related to the reservation, if applicable
Step 4: Request Payment or Pay Now?
In this step, the user must decide whether to request payment from the customer via Email or SMS, or to make the payment now.
Payment Request
If this option is selected, Ulyses Suite will ask the user to enter the following information
- Expire date: Indicates the deadline for making the payment, which will be shown in the email sent to the user.
- For reservation payments, this date should be the date after which penalties will apply or the reservation will be canceled
- For event payments, this date should be the final payment deadline
- Contact to: Indicates a list of possible contacts (from the reservation, group, company, or customer) and will automatically load contact details if they already exist
- Email/Phone: Indicates the email and/or phone number where communications will be sent
- Reason: Allows you to specify a particular reason in the payment request for customization
Pay Deposit Now
In this case, Ulyses Suite will display all available payment options, including payments through payment gateways or customer loyalty platforms, as well as manual payments
