Quotas are rules that we set for our sales, and the most common example is setting a quota for a company.
A quota allows us to reserve a specific number of rooms for that company within an agreed period of time, as established in the contract.
Whether or not the rooms in a particular quota are counted as occupied will depend on the policy of the owner or manager of the quotas.
How do we limit the sale of specific rooms?
From the quotas section, we can set up the main parameters, such as the Code, Name, Dates (both activation and sales), and Notes.
However, if we go to the availability tab, we can "add" new products that can be configured with the following parameters:
| Parameter | Description |
| Quantity | corresponds to the number of sellable rooms for a day |
| Closed | If enabled, we are saying that this quota will NOT be available for that day |
| Release day/hour | Time the company has to use the quota before it is released back to us |
It is important to note that the parameters mentioned above can also be configured from the Rate Configuration option. If there is a discrepancy between the values set in both places, the more restrictive value will apply.
