What is Redsys online?
Redsys is a virtual payment platform that supports payments from credit and debit cards, acting as an intermediary between the buyer and the bank associated with an online store so any business can receive payments quickly and easily.
The contract is between the hotel and its bank.

In this article we will give you instructions for using RedysOnline, both for configuration in the PMS and for the user.
1. Redsys Online Configuration
The first thing we need to do is activate the RedsysOnline module from the hotel integrations. It has no cost. Verify that there is no other payment gateway connected; if there is, you must deactivate it.
The merchant code, terminal, and merchant signature details are provided by the bank to the property, and the property gives them to the support team to enter them into the PMS.
It is important to inform the property to request activation of the MIT product for token authorization and to be able to make charges later.
We will associate a default payment value, e.g.: Redysy, to differentiate payments and activate a cashier from the options, change cashier.
Internally, an accounting account must be associated with Redsys online.

2. Property configuration to be able to send different requests
Secondly, we must configure the property by following these steps:
Go to the property and in product, create "Redsys" in the "payment" option.
Go to the property - in communication - shipping configuration - activate card request / activate deposit / activate paid deposit -
Go to template type - activate the request card - customize - new / activate deposit template to request payment - customize - new / activate the paid deposit template.
All templates can be modified and customized.
3. How to use Redsys
Add guarantee: Direct reservation at the front office or walk-in. When adding the guarantee, the payment gateway opens. Enter the card details through the Redsys portal.
Request the guarantee: From the reservation and always by STAY we will make the request. Enter the client's email email requesting their credit card. As soon as they enter the details, we will see it in green in the PMS. To verify that the uploaded card is authentic and belongs to the client. As long as it is not authorized, we will see it in "orange"
Finally, we can send a deposit/payment request for a future reservation.
From the payments option in the client's reservation, we request a new deposit by STAY. It can be a partial payment or a full payment. Enter the amount, the cardholder, and request the payment via Redsys integration
We activate the request to send payment by email. The client receives an email with the message to make the payment and once accepted the amount will be reflected in the reservation payments.
In the client's reservation it will be shown in green that the card is valid and we have a deposit.
Keep in mind:
- The PMS does not notify when the property receives a payment from a client
- It is not possible to automate payments
- The email with the link is only sent once, it is active as long as the client does not respond. It does not expire.
