Ulyses Cloud recognizes as customers those people who have stayed at any property of the chain at some point. However, it recognizes as guests those people who, while being registered in a reservation, have not yet checked in at any of the chain's properties.
Thus, we can link a guest with a customer if we suspect that this person has stayed at some point.
For example, the following reservation has been downloaded from an online channel and is for a room for 2 adults. The personal information that arrives in Ulyses Cloud is limited, only the name "Paul Smith," for which Ulyses Cloud indicates there are 3 possible matches.
At this point, two situations may occur:
- We confirm that one of the possible matches is the guest who will be staying. In that case
- We will select the match
- Ulyses Cloud will upload the additional information registered from this customer's previous stays
- We confirm that none of the possible matches is the guest who will be staying. In that case:
- We will complete the registration of the new guest
- We will check in the reservation, which will automatically create a Customer profile
- We check that the new guest appears in Customers > Customers
If a customer was linked by mistake, there is an option to reverse the linking, which will remove all previously uploaded data
