This tool is designed to simplify and enhance the hotel experience by accepting cash transactions in another currency, in addition to the usual one you work with.
With the Multicurrency feature, you can now expand your reach and serve customers from all over the world without worrying about the complications of currency conversions.
Setup
1. Activating the ONE CURRENCY feature
The first step is to configure the property to work with two currencies.
You can do this in the property settings under preferences.
Keep in mind that you can only work with a maximum of two currencies in Ulyses Suite, the usual one and an extra.
2. Exchange rate setup
The second step involves configuring the use of the currency exchange feature, and the first step within this configuration will be to set the exchange rate, the commission percentage, and the commission itself. These settings can be made by accessing the following location within the system:
Chain Configuration > Tools > Currency Exchange
Depending on the currencies you have configured in your property, you will be able to specify the currency exchange rate and, if you wish, the amount of exchange commission.
Each change made will be reflected next to the currency exchange, showing the time, date, and user who performed the operation.
Likewise, all exchange rates made will be recorded in the history.
